Key features

The Bank of Melbourne’s Vertigo card has all the top features you would expect of a great low rate credit card. First up, the Vertigo offers a 0% p.a balance transfer rate for 32 months (offer ends 24 February 2022), which could be a helpful feature for anyone wanting to pay off any existing debt. Just bear in mind that if you still have debt left on the card after that 30-month period, the balance will revert to the cash advance rate of 21.49%.

The card also has an ongoing purchase rate of just 13.99% (many cards charge 20% or more), and that rate will be dropped to 0% for the first six months as an added perk. Plus with a comfortable 55 day interest free period you’ll have plenty of time to make your repayments.

On top of that, if you do make a late payment you won't be penalised too much with the $15 late payment charge, and your wallet will definitely be happy knowing that the annual card fee is just $55 – and this fee is even waived in the first year.

The Bank of Melbourne Vertigo card is a Visa so you'll be able to use it anywhere Visa is accepted around the globe. The card also has PayPass functionality for payments under $100.
