Key features

Vertigo 0% Balance Transfer option:

The Bank of Melbourne’s Vertigo card has all the top features you would expect of a great low rate credit card. First up, the Vertigo offers a 0% p.a balance transfer rate for 30 months (offer ends 30 November 2021), which could be a helpful feature for anyone wanting to pay off any existing debt. Just bear in mind that if you still have debt left on the card after that 30-month period, the balance will revert to the cash advance rate of 21.49%.

The card also has an ongoing purchase rate of just 13.99% (many cards charge 20% or more). Plus with a comfortable 55 day interest free period you’ll have plenty of time to make your repayments.

On top of that, if you do make a late payment you won't be penalised too much with the $15 late payment fee, and your wallet will definitely be happy knowing that the annual fee is just $55 – and this fee is even waived in the first year.

The Bank of Melbourne Vertigo card is a Visa so you'll be able to use it anywhere Visa is accepted around the globe. The card also has PayPass functionality for payments under $100.

Vertigo Cashback option:

If you opt for the cashback option instead of the Vertigo BT program, you’ll receive $300 cashback when you spend $4,000 on eligible purchases within the first four months. Just remember, this offer is only for new customers taking out the Vertigo Cashback card, and you’ll need to apply by 30 November 2021. You’ll also see the $55 annual fee waived in the first year.

The other key difference between this offer and the Vertigo BT option is that the balance transfer rate is 6.99% for the first 12 months. Like the standard offer, it reverts to 21.49% (although BT Vertigo customers get 0% for the full 30 months).
