The Citi Premier card is for high-flyers. Customers who earn over $75,000 a year gain access to an incredible array of rewards, including a concierge service, International Travel Insurance and Citi's exclusive Dining Program. You can score 130,000 bonus Citi points when you spend $5,000 within 60 days from card's activation. But you'll need to be quick, as this offer ends on 29 July 2021!
Rewards are usually the main thing you want to look at when thinking of getting a rewards credit card and with Citi Premier there are number to take note of: including flights, cash back and gift cards all as options you can cash in on. There's also no need to fret about hitting a cap or your points expiring, as this card has neither a points cap or expiring date.
Earning reward points is easy and quick - you will receive 1 point per $1 spent on regular domestic spends, and the points earning is uncapped meaning you can save them up for something fab. And you can also earn uncapped points on everyday expenses like rent, taxes, education fees, property management fees, childcare and other bills, with Citi's 'PayAll' feature! (Eligibility criteria applies).
Plus, you can score a tonne of bonus points. By spending at least $4,000 on your card within 90 days from the card's activation, you can bag 130,000 bonus Citi (offer ends 29 July 2021).
The Premier card is especially well-suited to travellers. Not only can you bag 2 rewards points for each $1 spent internationally, but the card also comes with complimentary International Travel Insurance.
But all this value does come at a price - the Citi Premier card comes with a relatively high annual fee of $300 and steep purchase rate of 21.49%.
The card also come with 6 months of 0% balance transfer rate (then 22.24%) and no balance transfer fee, so if you're looking to transfer some of your other debts onto this card you have a window of no extra interest payments.
The Citi Premier credit card suits anyone who is earning over $75,000 a year and is interested in a card that comes with plenty of perks.
Get into the habit of paying your balance off in full each month or you'll be paying a high 21.49% interest rate on those purchases.

How do we calculate these points?
To work out the "Rewards value minus fees" in our Rewards Revealer we:
calculate how many points you'd get each year,
figure out how many flights or gift cards or cashback credits you could get for those points,
work out what that's actually worth to you,
take off the annual fee you'd pay.
More details:
Our calculations are designed to help you compare the value of different rewards schemes. To do this, we've looked at earning a one-way Sydney-Melbourne flight excluding taxes and charges, a return Sydney-London flight excluding taxes and charges, a $100 shopping Gift Card and $100 cashback. Most cards will also offer other rewards, which may be worth more or less than the ones we've shown.
We have made no allowance for bonus points for using your card at specific merchants, introductory offers or special offers. We have not assigned any value to instant discounts, insurances, ticketing and concierge services or other such benefits.
Rewards value calculations do not take credit card interest into account. If you do not pay off your card each month you may be better off looking for a card based on interest rates than on the value of rewards.
In products that have more than one card, a different mix of spend between American Express / Visa / Mastercard will give different results. Mozo's Rewards Revealer lets you choose the mix based on the way you would use such a product, and gives you tailored results.
We assume flights purchased with airline points are 'classic' or 'reward' economy seats with restricted seat availability. 'Any seat' rewards will probably cost more.
To compare the value of flight rewards, we sample online retail flight prices once a quarter based on the average price on a Wednesday 3 months in advance but outside NSW school holidays. For domestic flights we take the lowest available fare from each flight on that day from Qantas Red e-deal, Virgin Australia Saver including baggage and Jetstar Starter including baggage. We calculate the average price excluding taxes and surcharges for each airline, and also the average across all airlines (which we use when rewards are travel agent vouchers). For international flights, we take the lowest available fares on that same Wednesday from each of Qantas, Emirates, Malaysian, Etihad, Singapore, Cathay Pacific and Thai, assuming a return flight 2 weeks later, calculate the average price before taxes and surcharges and use this as our assumed cost of a flight on any airline.
Shopping rewards are based on $100 gift cards from a major national department store.
We make every effort to ensure our calculations are correct and up to date but make no guarantees.

Citi PayAll allows you to earn Citi reward Points on everyday expenses (2% fee applies).
I got a card from them and it was biggest mistake. I have been prompt in paying my EMI. Somehow my credit card was still cancelled and it badly impacted my credit score. When you ask for an explanation, they don't give you any. It sucks, worst service. They write you off even if you are regular with your payments.

Overall my experience with Citi has been great. I was worried as it was my first credit card however they made it very straight forward with no fuss. I also missed my payment one month and as a good will gesture they credited me. I’ve found the customer service to be quite helpful. I highly recommend Citi.

The reward points scheme is very good, one of the more generous ones on the market. However the online banking interface has some glitches and bugs, and the mobile app isn't very good either.
