March 2021 Financial Checklist
A pinch and a punch for the first day of the month, it’s officially March folks! And with a change of seasons, International Women’s Day, St Patrick’s Day and Pisces season all happening in the same month, here’s your March 2021 Financial Checklist to help guide you through!
1. Turn over a new leaf with your energy consumption this Autumn
Well folks, it’s time to put away your cossies and whip out those office cardi’s cause Autumn has officially arrived. That being said, there’s no better time to do an energy bill check-in than when the seasons change.
There are lots of things you can do to help bring down your electricity bill. Spent the last three months cranking the AC up at full blast? Give it a rest - if there’s the odd hot day while Autumn’s still settling in, opt for a fan instead. Your wallet will thank you for it!
2. #ChooseToChallenge this International Women’s Day
It’s that time of year again girls! The 8th of March marks International Women’s Day - a global day for celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
The theme this year is ‘Choose to Challenge’ - which is all about taking responsibility for our actions and actively choosing to challenge inequality and celebrate women’s achievements. In light of this year’s theme, we’re shining the spotlight on some incredible women in finance who are killing it!
3. Increase your financial luck this St Patrick’s Day
Now we know St Patrick’s Day is all about luck - but whether or not you’ve recently walked under a ladder, it never hurts to create your own luck … especially when it comes to your finances! And no, we’re saying to buy a lotto ticket.
Perhaps you could get a savings account with an automatic roundup feature, like the Up Saver. When you spend with the linked transaction account it automatically rounds the purchase up to the nearest dollar and transfers the difference into your savings account. Sounds pretty lucky if you ask us!
4. Tune into The Finance Burrito Podcast’s brand new Money News series
