Investment home loan rates over 0.65% lower than last year

If you’re an investor looking to jump into or expand your portfolio in the property market, you’ll be pleased to know that home loan interest rates have plummeted since this time last year.

According to the Mozo database, for borrowers making principal and interest repayments on a $400,000 loan, the average investor home loan interest rate has dropped by 66 basis points - from 4.81% on the 21st of November 2018 to 4.15% today.

And most of the change happened in the second half of this year!

Since June, the RBA has made a whopping 0.75% cut to the official cash rate. While some lenders have passed on the full cut, others have made only partial cuts, so since June 1, 2019 we have seen a 0.61% drop in the average interest rate for an investment home loan.

But who wants average when you can get better than average? Say hello to these investment home loans offering rates far below 4.15%!
