Everyday Building Insurance provides a solid level of cover for your home while balancing affordability and flexibility with its two coverage levels: Standard and Comprehensive. Both options afford you a few little luxuries like the flexibility to choose your own excess and access Everyday’s convenient 24/7 claims service.
With Everyday Building Insurance from Woolworths you’re covered against a whole range of natural and man-made events that could harm your humble abode. For example if a fire, storm, earthquake, tsunami or lightning strike was to take place, you would be covered by the policy. Plus, you’re also covered in the event of a riot, burglary or act of vandalism.
It is important to note there are exceptions surrounding some circumstances connected to these events. Damage caused by power and storm surges isn't included, and damage to landscaping or gardens caused by flooding or storms won't be covered.
Aside from the bricks and mortar of your home, Everyday Building Insurance also protects the smaller elements of your home. This policy comes with $500 worth of cover to replace your locks ($1,000 with Comprehensive) and cover for any in-ground pools and spas, and secure garages or sheds.
If the damage is so bad that you can’t actually stay in your home, you're covered for emergency accommodation (up to the lesser of 12 months or 10% sum insured) as well as up to $500 for temporary accommodation for cat and dog members of the family, ($1,000 with Comprehensive).
Everyday Building Insurance comes with an extra 10% off for the life of the policy if you bundle it with Everyday Contents Insurance.
If you’re after a comprehensive home insurance policy on a budget then this policy represents serious value with added flexibility.
Everyday Building Insurance doesn’t come with any underinsurance protection. This means you’ll need to keep Everyday Insurance from Woolworths updated when you renovate any of your home’s fixtures and fittings, so that if something were to go wrong and you needed to make a claim, you’ll be covered to the correct level.

The customer service is incredible. I have called a few times and they always sort the issues straight away. I haven’t yet had to make a claim, but compared to other companies their comprehensive cover is ridiculously cheap.
