We made a claim, they authorised work, and then the work mysteriously stopped halfway. All contact ceased, but premiums are still being deducted. We were told we declined further works, we did not. We were told we got paid out for the remainder of the claim, we were not and there is no proof of payout. Ongoing drama...
We have been with Woolworths everyday insurance for at least 5 years. Every year I do research to check that we have the most competitive product for home insurance that offers the cover we require. Every year, Everyday Insurance from Woolworths comes back trumps. This is even after we have made a claim for storm damage. When making the claim. Woolworths were easy to deal with and helpful. The contractors too a while to get to us to inspect and fix the problem, however this was during a high claim period for storm damage and was understandable. Woolworths were well organised and highly transparent and we did not have any issues with our claim. Highly recommend!
Price isn’t everything. Great price but unfortunately in my second year with Woolworths Insurance I had to lodge a claim for stolen bicycles. Lodged 11 June 2023 still waiting for a real person to phone me back even though I had been assured that I would be contacted on numerous occasions. I spent hours on the phone trying to talk to anyone who could help. Relieved that I had this claims experience on a minor claim. Buyers beware should you need to claim on Woolworths house and contents you will be letdown, ignored and left wondering if you are in fact insured.
The price is competitive for the cover I've never made a claim so I am not sure about the rest of their service
Absolute worst experience ever .I would never recommend this insurer.There are no pros Woolworths insurance I lodged my claim in April 2022 post flood damage , today is June 2023 , my claim is still pending. I’ve been given an apology every time someone speaks to me but no one is able to tell me why they are apologising to me It appears staff don’t communicate or document correctly , completely incompetent staff . Case managers do not follow up , I have only gained any sort of headway with my claim after 3 complaints lodged since April 2023. The company that comes to assess your property are also incompetent . Twice my house was assessed by them by 2 assessor’s both neglecting several areas of my house when scope of works sent .
My experience with Woolworths Insurance has been nothing but excellent, I have had 1 claim for accidental damage to glass, and within an hour of lodging the claim, I had a call from a Glass Repair Company asking for a convenient day and time to fix my problem. Woolworths is cutting a path to the pinnacle of Home and Contents Insurance through their swift claim results and their ever-helpful, friendly Personnel. Highly recommended.
Trying to get information on the progress of my claim is terribleI phoned twice today and gave up after being on hold for an hour each time. I’ve tried sending emails, logged in to the portal and tried Facebook messenger, but I still don’t know the progress on my claim
Woolworths has been a good service. It was able to give us cover over a variety of things we needed insurance for.
We have only been with them a short time & unfortunately had to make a claim, the process was very simple & they have stayed in touch as the repairs process progressed.
At first I was a little sceptical going with Woolworths Insurance but thought I would give them a go because they offered a competitive rate. Whilst it wasn't the cheapest they offered a 10% discount a month by shopping at Woolworths so we took this into consideration. They have proved to be worthwhile. Earlier in the year we had a water leak and I was pleasantly surprised with the level of service we received & the promptness of the tradespeople when we made a claim. I was pleasantly surprised.
The 10% off your grocery shop every month pulled me in that’s for sure. And keeps me happy every month! I haven’t had to use them yet but this little incentive keeps me happy :)
They were quick to action my claim and kept me well informed with every step of the process. However when I went to my home to grab something there was a painter I had never met who let me enter no questions asked I could have been anyone. Apart from that excellent service in all other area.

I had excellent service when the fence blew down. It was quicker than I expected. Woolworths cover was cheap. My car insurance is with Woolworths too. When I rang for help for the car they arrived quickly with a tow truck. A very pleasing result in both cases.
I like the home insurance from woolworths very easy sign up, and they are so understanding and fair with their services. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for hone insurance.
