The Day2Day Plus Account is an everyday transaction account by the Bank of Queensland that will cover all your day-to-day banking needs at no expense to your account balance. They have an array of free and unlimited withdrawal options to make your banking experience personalised to your needs.
The best part about the Bank of Queensland Day2Day Plus Account is that it will cost you absolutely nothing to own and maintain as there are no account keeping fees. There's also unlimited free transactions over the internet, phone or from the nearest Bank of Queensland branch.
On top of this, you'll also get free withdrawals from Bank of Queensland and Redi ATM networks, so you should never have to wander far to withdraw cash. And with a Visa Debit Card connected to the account, you'll be able to pay by card for purchases anywhere that Visa is accepted.
Just remember that there is a $1,000 daily ATM withdrawal limit that could leave you with a challenge if you unexpectedly need to spend up big, but you can always visit a branch to withdraw extra cash if need be.
Speaking of going over the limit, the Bank of Queensland Day2Day Plus Account offers a personal overdraft facility should you ever find yourself in need of extra funds - but keep in mind that you'll need to assessed for eligibility to gain access to this feature.
You can use your BOQ ATM debit card overseas but you'll be charged a 3.00% foreign exchange commission. Not to mention, to use an ATM while you're overseas it'll cost you $5.
This account will suit most Aussies who are looking for a convenient everyday bank account to cover their day-to-day banking needs. As there are no over the counter withdrawal fees with this account it would also be highly suitable for anyone who likes to do their banking in-branch rather than online or via ATMs.
Like most everyday transaction accounts, you won't earn any interest on your money with the BOQ Day2Day Plus Account, so it's best to keep the majority of your cash in a high-interest savings account and use internet banking to transfer it across as you need.
There is a $3 fee for Bank@Post withdrawals from this account, so you'd be better off withdrawing cash from a BOQ or rediATM or when you are out doing your shopping.

Great service.
Read full reviewThere is always someone there to help if you have issues at all. You can ring them and someone from the branch will answer. They call back if they say they will. Overall, they provide good old fashioned service.

To put it as simply as possible, everything this bank can provide or do for you, another bank can do it faster and simpler. Internet banking website could have been better designed by an 8 year old on "Go Daddy". Whenever receiving funds from other accounts (regular payments or not), BOQ feels the need to hold it for a ridiculous amount. Nah wait! I can literally ask my wife to transfer me money at the dinner table, hop in the truck and drive halfway across the country, and still end up waiting on BOQ to clear those funds into my account! I recently lost my debit card in Bunnings, it took BOQ 41 minutes to answer my call on their 24/7 customer service line. I could have been robbed stupid while waiting for BOQ to help! Why is there no emergency line for this? BOQ have also held nearly $100 from me after a payment glitch with an online Super Cheap Auto purchase. But wait! They held my money in one of their pending accounts for 9 days! BOQ are slow, confusing, careless, incompetent and I honestly believe everything they have to offer can be done better elsewhere.
