The NAB Classic Banking Account has an option for a Platinum Visa Debit Card, which has a bunch of fairly unique features for a debit card, including travel insurance, purchase protection and 1% cashback on cashless purchases (up to $10 a month). This is on top of the usual benefits of unlimited free transactions over the phone, online and in branch. However, there is a $10 monthly account fee.
The Platinum Visa Debit Card is a different sort of debit card, in that is has some of the features you might expect to see on a credit card.
For starters, it comes with a range of complimentary insurances, including overseas travel insurance, rental vehicle excess insurance, extended warranty insurance and purchase protection insurance.
You’ll also have access to the NAB Concierge Service, which can be used to help book hotels, tickets to events and make restaurants reservations.
Another one of the more distinctive features of the Platinum Visa Debit Card is its contactless purchases cashback offer. For purchases you make using Visa payWave or Fitbit Pay you’ll get 1% back, up to $10 a month.
If you are travelling or ordering overseas products online, you won’t be charged any international transaction fees, making traveling and online shopping all that much better.
But all this value does come with a price tag – there’s a $10 monthly fee to take into account when using the Platinum Visa Debit Card with this NAB bank account.
The NAB Classic Banking Account with Platinum Visa Debit Card is great for a spender who’s in the market for a debit card, but still keen to cash in on some premium perks usually reserved for credit cards. Anyone 14 years old or older can apply to this card too!

I have been with NAB for almost 10 years. They have always provided great service and have always been helpful and friendly. Since starting my account I have visited other banks and found that the pricing has not been as competitive, the service has not been as friendly or efficient and the app has not been as effective. I don't plan on changing banks in the near future and would definitely recommend NAB to anyone asking.
