With a low $30 annual card fee, the ANZ First Credit Card could be a great fit for spenders wanting a no-frills credit card option with a little extra value. On new purchases, you'll get up to 55 interest-free days but be sure to pay off your balance in full each month or you'll cop the 20.24% p.a. purchase rate.
If you're looking to ditch some debt, another feature that might grab your attention is the 0% balance transfer offer for a generous 18 months. Just beware there is a 2.00% Balance Transfer fee and after the BT period ends it reverts to 20.24% p.a.
The ANZ First Credit Card is your basic credit card with an annual fee of just $30. You'll be connected via the Visa network so you can use the card wherever Visa is accepted in Australia or overseas. The card also comes with ANZ contactless technology meaning for purchases under $100 you can just tap and go without signing or using a PIN.
The standard interest rate is 20.24% and you can get up to 55 days on new purchases with the ANZ First. There's also a 0% balance transfer offer for 18 months (2% Balance Transfer fee) if you're looking to move over some existing debt. International transactions whether online or in-person will attract a 3% foreign exchange margin.
ANZ Falcon means that you can shop with extra security and confidence as transactions are monitored around the clock for suspicious transactions. This card also comes with some standard insurances such as extended warranty as well as purchase protection insurance.
For the creative types, you can design your own card using ANZ designmycard, plus, additional cardholders can be added at no extra cost.
The ANZ First is great if you're looking for a basic credit card with plenty of value. To qualify, you must be 18 or over, and a permanent Australian resident or a non-permanent resident with more than 9 months remaining on your Visa.
You might want to consider automating your repayments as there's a $20 late payment fee. Also, if you're using the card to rid yourself of debt, then be sure to pay your debt off before the balance transfer period ends, as any balance left over will start being charged interest at 20.24% p.a.

Unfortunately this is a case of a bank being a bank. They are only in this to make money and will find any way to rip you off through this product. Took over a month for the approval process too.
