Low Rate - Cashback offer | n/a |
The ANZ Low Rate credit card has everything a good credit card should have: a low 13.74% interest rate on purchases and a low $58 annual fee (waived in the first year if you opt in for the balance transfer offer). Speaking of which, if you need to get rid of some pesky debt, this card comes with an optional 0% p.a. balance transfer offer for 28 months (reverts to 21.99% p.a.). Just keep in mind that a balance transfer fee of 3% will apply. Plus it won the 2022 Mozo Experts Choice Award for best Balance Transfer Credit Card!
With many credit cards having interest rates of 19.00% p.a. and over, the ANZ Low Rate Credit Card has an ongoing purchase rate of 13.74% p.a.
The ANZ Low Rate Credit Card comes with the choice of two different offer options: a credit-back-to-your-card offer or a balance transfer offer. The interest rates and features you get will depend on which offer you choose.
The card also comes with a relatively low annual fee of $58, which is actually waived for new cardholders in the first year (if you opt in for the balance transfer offer). Just be sure to set up automatic monthly repayments or you'll have to pay a $20 late payment fee.
If you need to clear some lingering credit card debt, you might choose to take advantage of a 30 month balance transfer period with 0% p.a. interest (a balance transfer fee of 3% of the balance being transferred will apply). Just bear in mind that once the balance transfer period is up, any remaining balance will be subject to an interest rate of 21.99% p.a.
If you are travelling overseas you can use your low rate card wherever Mastercard is accepted. You will have to pay a 3.00% foreign currency conversion on all purchases made using your ANZ Low Rate card overseas.
The ANZ Low Rate card is good for anyone who is looking for a low cost credit card for their online and day-to-day purchases. To get your hands on it, you'll need to be 18 or over, and be a permanent Australian resident or a non-permanent resident with more than 9 months remaining on your Visa.
Be aware that this credit card comes with a 21.99% p.a. cash advance rate.

I don’t recommend them for credit cards, I struggled with being financially abused as well as all other abuse imaginable by my ex husband, and finally got free of him and really suffered trying to afford my credit card bill that my ex had run up, unfortunately the credit card was in my name and I rang the bank to enquire about recieving a cut in my repayments per month as I was desperately struggling to survive and make the repayments each month. They were very uncaring and told me they could do nothing to help me. To this day I’m still struggling with the debt.
