Not to mention you'll receive a 0% interest rate on purchases for the first 15 months. Key features

If you apply for Bendigo Bank's Low Rate Credit Card before 31 January 2021, then you'll snag a 0% interest rate on purchases for the first 15 months! After that the rate will revert to 11.99%, which is still considerably lower than a number of credit cards, which can come with purchase rates of 19% or over. The $45 annual fee won't break the bank either.

While some low rate interest cards can trip you up with their 0 day interest period, you'll get up to 55 interest free days with this card, which means you have almost 2 months to pay off your balance before you get stung with any extra costs. Bendigo bank also offers a fairly unique interest option, as the interest is charged from when you receive your statement, rather than when you initially make the purchase, saving you on your interest.

If you intend to share the credit card with someone else then you’re in luck, because you’ll incur no fee for having additional cardholders, allowing you and another to both use the same account.

And with a low 13.99% cash advance rate you won’t break the bank if you get get stuck running to the ATM outside your favourite cash only Thai place.

I was very let down by Bendigo

I felt i was treated as a second class citizen when applying for my first credit card when i have been with this bank over 25 years! I had one default against me over 6 months ago, which was payed within that week and still i was treated as a risk.

Customer Service is superb, low premiums

I like the support, time and effort that the staff provide, supplying information and answering questions in a friendly and pleasant manner. I found that the Bank may have over-reacted to the possibility of fraud. They sometimes queried small payments of $1 or $2, and closed the account until I had responded. On the other hand they did not want me to be caught out with scams, and helped out with thorough investigation and repayment when fraud was involved. This intense support was never judge-mental or patronising. Instead it was very encouraging.
