Mozo Review   St.George Vertigo Platinum Review

Last updated: 16 March 2020.

What's hot:
  • 0% interest on purchases for 15 months

  • Low 12.99% purchase rate

  • 2019 Mozo Experts Choice Award winner

What's not:
  • 21.49% cash advance rate

Mozo snapshot:

The St. George Vertigo Platinum credit card is a great value platinum card, offering 15 months interest free to kick off, plus a super low ongoing purchase rate of just 12.99%. Need more convincing? Well the Vertigo Platinum was a 2019 Mozo Experts Choice Credit Card Award winner, taking out an award in the best Low Rate Platinum Credit Card category.

Key features:

In the premium credit card category, the St. George Vertigo Platinum ranks as a great card for everyday spending. It has a low ongoing purchase rate of 12.99%, 15 months interest free for new purchases and a generous 55 interest free days.

With the Vertigo Platinum you can make purchases wherever Visa is accepted around the world and will be protected against fraudulent activity thanks to Visa’s zero liability policy. Just be mindful there is a 3% foreign exchange fee for overseas purchases and when you shop online from international stores.

While it has a $99 annual fee, you can more than make up for this with a great range of complimentary features, including overseas travel insurance cover, extended warranty on purchases and VISA Platinum Concierge Service as well as price guarantee cover.

You also have the option to add another three cardholders to the card.

There’s a few other fees to be aware of including the $15 late fee if you don’t pay your bill on time and a $15 card replacement fee.

Who it's good for:

The St George Vertigo Platinum card is great for anyone looking to get on top of their existing credit card debt thanks to its 18 month balance transfer offer. Plus, its low ongoing purchase rate of 12.99% means it’s still a good option as your everyday credit card.

Any catches?

Steer clear of ATMs with this one, because like most credit cards, cash withdrawals will immediately be charged interest at the 21.49% cash advance rate.

    Attractive visa/master cards

To be honest I choose banks by their logos, their brand colours and what their cards look like (visa/master). I like the logo and the look of these cards.

    Competitive products

There are too many products which can be very confusing for consumers. Too many forms to complete and timeline is not met on time, otherwise this is not a bad bank.

Service is like most banks, nothing outstanding

Outlets are few and far between and I have to go out of my way to get to one.
