Mozo snapshot:

The St. George Vertigo Platinum credit card is a great value platinum card, taking out a 2017 Mozo Experts Choice Award in the Best Low Rate Platinum Credit Card category. It has a balance transfer offer of 24 months (1% BT fee), giving you plenty of time to kick that debt to the curb. It also comes with a super low ongoing purchase rate of just 12.74%, and an annual fee of $99.

Key features:

In the premium credit card category, the St. George Vertigo Platinum ranks as a great card for everyday spending. It has a low ongoing purchase rate of 12.74% and a generous 55 interest free days.

With the Vertigo Platinum you can make purchases wherever Visa is accepted around the world and will be protected against fraudulent activity thanks to Visa’s zero liability policy. Just be mindful there is a 3% foreign exchange fee for overseas purchases and when you shop online from international stores.

While it has a $99 annual fee, you will more than make up for this with a great range of complimentary features, including overseas travel insurance cover, extended warranty on purchases and VISA Platinum Concierge Service as well as price guarantee cover.

You also have the option to add another three cardholders to the card.

There’s a few other fees to be aware of including the $15 late fee if you don’t pay your bill on time and a $15 card replacement fee.

Who it's good for:

The St George Vertigo Platinum card is great for anyone looking to get on top of their existing credit card debt thanks to its 24 month balance transfer offer. Plus, its low ongoing purchase rate of 12.74% means it’s still a good option as your everyday credit card.

Any catches?

Make sure you pay off the card before the BT period comes to an end, as the balance transfer rate will revert to the 19.49% cash advance rate.

Service is like most banks, nothing outstanding

Outlets are few and far between and I have to go out of my way to get to one.
