P&N Bank's Fixed Rate Home Loan is available for borrowers who want to lock in a rate for between one and five years. Value seekers should especially take note at the 6.54% p.a. fixed interest rate (6.32% p.a. comparison rate*) for 1 year terms.
The P&N Fixed Rate Home Loan offers 1-5 year competitive fixed interest rates for loans with an LVR less than 80% - 6.54% for 1 year (6.32% comparison rate*), 6.39% for 3 years (6.33% comparison rate*) and 6.49% for 4 years (6.37% comparison rate*). After the fixed interest rate term ends the rate automatically reverts to a variable interest rate of 6.29% p.a.
You can have the best of both worlds by splitting your home loan between a fixed and variable rate. You also have the option to attack interest immediately with interest only repayments available for up to 5 years. You will also be able to make additional repayments of up to $25,000 during the fixed period.
First home buyers you'll be glad to hear that the P&N Fixed Rate Home Loan allows you to borrow up to 95% of the property's value for amounts above $20,000.
If you're looking for a competitive fixed rate home loan - without the bells and whistles - and want to know your repayment schedule for the next few years then the P&N Fixed Rate Home Loan could be perfect for you.
This home loan lacks features like a redraw facility or an offset account. So weigh up whether you need these options before you apply.

Switching to P&N Bank was easy, the customer service is excellent with the mobile rep coming out almost any time you need them. I have a combination of two home loans, the majority as a fixed loan and the remainder as a variable loan, so I could get an offset account against the variable loan portion. Offset accounts were not offered for the fixed loan - not sure if any bank does that. Staff at the branches (I used two until now) and over the phone are very helpful and supportive. And they are local staff. You are definitely NOT connected to a call centre in India, where the people don't understand you because you have an accent different from Westminster English...
