For the second year running, Budget Direct has been awarded the Insurer of the Year title, this time in the value category. They’ve continued to deliver low prices for solid comprehensive car insurance cover in 2020.
Budget Direct offers flexible options that won’t empty out your wallet. Features include $500 of personal property cover, up to $1,000 to replace your car keys and locks, and the option to choose your own repairer after an insurable incident. If your car is less than two years old and has driven under 40,000km, you’ll also get new-for-old car replacement if it’s deemed a write-off.
And for a little savings goodwill, there’s also a 15% discount on your first year’s premium if you buy the policy online.
Woolworths - Comprehensive Car Insurance*
You’ll find all kinds of cost-effective inclusions in this comprehensive policy. Much like their bargains at the grocery checkout, Woolies is also offering car insurance with plenty of trimmings at an affordable price.
You’ll score up to a 15% discount on your first year of cover with this policy, plus you can opt for the pay-as-you-drive cover. This means weekend drivers or those actively trying to reduce their kms can elect a low kilometre limit and get a premium reduction in return.
Youi - Comprehensive Car Insurance*
Again, this policy aims to include the most sought-after flexible features and dedicated services at an accessible price that won’t leave you stressing about renewal time. If you’re the proud owner of a new set of wheels and they sadly get written-off, Youi offers new-for-old car replacement, so long if your vehicle is under two years old and has travelled less than 40,000km.
With their comprehensive car insurance policy, Youi also covers $1,000 of emergency repairs without requiring an assessment. They’ll also sort you out for reasonable towing costs after an accident and will commit up to $1,000 to cover emergency accommodation and travel (if you’re more than 100km away from home).
There’s some hot competition in the cheap comprehensive car insurance world this year, with seven providers making it into the Exceptional Value award category. Other 2020 winners include policies from QBE, RAC, RACV and SGIO.
