The Everyday Comprehensive Car Insurance policy offers cover at a price tag you’ll love. Not only does it give you a number of ways to save on your premium, including 10% off your Woolies shop once a month and a Drive Less Pay Less option, it also provides an extensive range of cover for your car. It's no wonder this car insurance policy took out a 2021 Mozo Experts Choice Award for Exceptional Value Car Insurance!

Key features

Everyday Comprehensive Car Insurance from Woolworths covers you for damage, loss or vandalism for your car, and the personal items in it. You’ll have cover up to $500 for personal property and up to $1,000 to replace stolen keys and locks. And if your car is written off within 24 months of rego, your policy will cover you for a new one.

In an emergency, this policy allows for up to $500 in emergency repairs without assessment, reasonable towing costs and up to $500 for emergency accommodation or travel if you’re stranded 200km or more from home.

Roadside assistance is available as an added extra, and so is the option to have cover for a rental car after an accident (up to $50 a day for 14 days, which is included as standard after a theft) or to reduce your windscreen excess, each of which comes with an extra premium.

When it comes to paying your premium, you have the option to pay monthly, but it will cost a bit extra. You can also choose your level of excess – a higher excess means a lower upfront premium and vice versa.

Plus, there's the option to nominate how many kilometres you’ll drive to limit the cover you’re paying for through the Drive Less Pay Less option. Just remember, if you go over your set km range and then need to make a claim, you could incur an additional 'outside odometer' excess of $1,000.

Who is it good for

Everyday Comprehensive Car Insurance from Woolworths is great for Aussie drivers looking to bag a bargain. And if you’re someone who only uses your car on weekends or doesn’t do that many kilometres, then the Drive Less Pay Less option makes this one even more wallet-friendly.

Any catches

One big drawback with this policy is that there’s no option for safe drivers to score a no claims discount. But the other thing you might want to keep an eye on is the excess for unlisted, inexperienced or young drivers, which can range from $800 to $1,200 (and up to $2,000 for unlisted drivers under 21).
