Commonwealth Bank bank accounts

The Commonwealth Bank might be one of Australia's oldest and largest banks, but lately it's determined to do things differently. The Commonwealth Bank reckons it's focusing more on customer service and earning your business rather than counting on it. If you like the sound of that, then check out the Commonwealth Bank's wide range of personal banking products, including term deposits, savings accounts, credit cards, home loans and personal loans.

Useless downhill bank. Untrustworthy

This bank has gone down hill. I have been with them for over 10 years. I use to have to wait 10 mins on calls but now am waiting over 1 hr minimum. Branches have been closed down and they charge fees on random shit. Getting a different bank sorted. Useless bank.

You scratch our back, we won't scratch yours.

I got set up with CBA like so many kids in the 90s through school. I haven't paid much attention to my bank account over the years because I made the mistake of assuming they were all the same. About a year ago I had a very enlightening conversation with a coworker and realised that CBA has essentially done nothing for me in terms of interest and promoting better options. I'm now in my 30s so I've lost thousands of dollars in potential interest. I feel like I was taken for granted and am happy I have now switched banks.

Great for everyday but trash for savings account.

Commonwealth Bank is a creative and innovative bank. I love using their Netbank/internet banking as it is super convenient and easy to navigate. Their direct deposits and payment transfers are so quick. The only downside is their interest rates are absolute rubbish at 0.01-0.02%. This is a great bank for every day but if you want a savings account, use another bank.
