The 2019 Mozo Experts Choice Award-winning ING Orange One Low Rate Credit Card comes with a low 11.99% p.a. purchase rate, no ongoing annual fees and up to 45 interest-free days on purchases. There are also a few other nifty features up for grabs, like the ability to set up instalment plans for purchases, which will allow you to pay for items in set instalments over time with a reduced interest rate. And for all it offers, not having an annual card fee is just icing on the cake.

Key features

Like your credit cards with no annual fees and low-interest rates? Well, the ING Orange One Low Rate Credit Card ticks all those boxes and more. You’ll get a low 11.99% p.a. purchase rate, 45 interest-free days on purchases, plus a number of other attractive perks.

If you're a regular online or overseas shopper then you’ll be happy to know that the international transaction fees on this card are waived as long as you meet certain conditions. Just deposit $1,000 into your Orange Everyday account from an external bank account and make at least 5 settled card purchases a month and you’ll be able to shop fee-free.

Another big selling point is the instalment plan option, which comes with a reduced purchase rate of 9.99%. If you have your eyes on a big-ticket item and would prefer to pay it off over time, you can arrange to do so online or via the app. You'll also be able to have 10 instalment plans running at the one time, with terms ranging between 3 months and 7 years.

And if you ever want to increase or decrease an existing instalment plan term, you can do so at any time and your monthly repayments will be adjusted accordingly. Just keep in mind that this can only be done 3 times over the first 2 years of the instalment plan.

The ING Orange One Low Rate credit card also supports Apple Pay and Google Pay. Just set it up using the Wallet app on your device and you can make payments without ever having to reach for your card.

Who is it good for

This one could suit ING customers who are looking to add a credit card to their financial toolbox and plan on using it for everyday purchases.

Any catches

One thing to keep an eye on is the minimum repayment amount of $100. While we would recommend paying off your full balance anyway, if you usually skate by some months by just making the minimum repayment, then keep in mind that this one's higher than usual.

    Low rate, no frills.

I like that this is a no-frills, easy to use and understand card. Low rate, and an option for longer repayment through instalments. No fees - recommended.
