Why I Like It: The ING Orange Everyday account stands out for its straightforward, no-nonsense approach to banking, making it especially appealing for individuals who prefer low fees and simplicity. A major highlight is the fee-free structure when certain conditions are met, such as depositing a minimum monthly amount and making at least five card transactions. This can be a huge perk, especially for those who make regular purchases and are careful about managing fees. The account is also well-regarded for international spending. ING waives the overseas ATM fees and international transaction fees for customers who meet specific monthly criteria, which can be a massive benefit for travellers or people who shop from overseas. ING’s app is user-friendly and includes helpful budgeting features, allowing you to track spending with ease. Pros: -No Monthly Account Fees: If you meet the deposit and transaction criteria, you avoid monthly account fees. -Rebates on ATM Fees: ING reimburses domestic ATM fees, which is convenient for people who prefer cash. -Fee-Free International Use: The account is excellent for travellers who meet the minimum criteria, as it waives international transaction and ATM fees. -Easy App Interface: The app is intuitive, offering budgeting tools and tracking features to help manage spending. Cons: -Requirements to Avoid Fees: To qualify for fee waivers, you must deposit at least $1,000 monthly and make five card purchases. Missing these can mean additional charges. -Lack of Physical Branches: ING operates entirely online, which may be a drawback for those who prefer in-person banking. -ATM Rebates Only in Australia: While overseas ATM fees can be waived under certain conditions, this doesn’t apply to domestic ATMs outside of Australia. Who It’s Best For: The ING Orange Everyday account is ideal for tech-savvy customers who are comfortable with online banking and frequently make card transactions. It’s also well-suited for budget-conscious individuals and travellers looking to avoid pesky fees on everyday purchases and international spending. If you’re considering this account, remember that the fee waivers require consistent deposits and card usage, so it’s best suited to those with predictable spending patterns. Overall, the account’s flexibility and low-cost features make it a strong choice for savvy spenders, provided you can meet the monthly requirements.
Any Teller fee is automatically reumbursed - same day.. No account fees. Great interest rates in the Saving Maximiser. New card needed - delivered under 1 week Great telephone service and help. The best bank around by far!
ING has been excellent. We followed the barefoot investor book and that has worked seamlessly with ING. The only disappointing thing is that their home loan rates are not competitive enough which means that we have to have that with ANZ.
I love how ING gives you money back for BPAY payments as well as ATM withdrawals. It’s nice to log into your app and see they’ve given you money back. ING also has great customer service without long wait times and when they answer your call they’re willing to help you resolve your issues. It’s a great bank with several products that’ll suit your needs
Great bank with low fees and great perks like no international transaction fees when on holiday.
ING has been excellent to me and helped me out during a stressful time after my card details were stolen. They made the process easy and fixed the issue right away. I love that they are all digital based and I can use my app easily to manage everything. Anytime I needed to speak to someone the wait time to talk wasn't very long either.
ING offers great bank account options, great interest rates on savings, just have to make sure you have $1000 being deposited into your main account every month to keep the high interest rates
i switched to ING a few years ago. Despite not having any physical branches, I have found their customer service to be excellent and deliver products to the standard they say.
No atm fees, which is brilliant. Good app
ING do not charge any fees, their customer service is always very friendly over the phone and their interest rates are competitive. I have my entire extended family banking with ING now.
As ING is a digital only bank, you’ll need to submit your application online. It takes less than 10 minutes according to ING.
