P&N Bank banking app review
About P&N Bank
Formerly known as the Police & Nurses Credit Society, P&N Bank is the largest mutual bank in Western Australia. Because it’s a mutual bank, P&N make sure their customers come first, and they’re obviously doing a standout job of it because in recent years P&N Bank have been recognised for their Mozo Experts Choice Award winning bank accounts, savings accounts and term deposits.
What does the P&N Bank app do?
When you think banking apps you’re probably picturing functions that allow you to check your account balance and transfer money to your friends and family. Well P&N Bank’s easy-to-use app well and truly delivers when it comes to these basics, but it also goes beyond - as you’d expect from a 2019 Mozo Experts Choice Award Excellent Banking App winner.
Aside from the essentials, the P&N app also allows users to make instant transfers to other bank accounts with PayID, as well as tap and pay with their smartphones with either Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay.

Features we love
As anyone with a smartphone will appreciate, the best apps are often the simplest to use. And when it comes to simplicity the P&N app really delivers with a straightforward main interface and a handy sidebar menu chocked full of features and settings. Plus it looks great too!
And P&N’s app really does have all the features you’ll need, including faster and more diverse ways to pay and handy alerts to make your banking life easier. Some of our favourites include:
- A ‘quick view’ option to see your balance without logging in
- Near-instant transfers with PayID
- Mobile payment options including Apple, Google and Samsung Pay
- The ability to lock your card, block transactions and change your PIN in-app
- Notify P&N about your overseas travel plans in-app
- The ability to set up alerts for your accounts and cards
- A choice between fingerprint, Face ID or PIN log-in
We’re not so hot on…
While this is a great app for existing P&N Bank customers, new customers won’t be able to sign up for a P&N account through the app. Instead they’ll need to visit the P&N Bank website or pop into a branch.
