I’ve banked with them just as my family have. They have been helpful getting me organised for overseas travel and have swiftly detected fraud attempts.
When they visit a branch people do not want to be kept waiting in line for so long. For god's sake put another staff member on. It's not all about profits, there is service which this bank seems to be lacking. I recently went to a branch and they had people waiting out the door, two tellers on all other staff were in group talking. Not a good look.
If you obtained the account or deposited money earlier, before all the banks' rates dropped, you would have accumulated big interest revenue.

Great friendly service but have you have to go into the bank each time to roll over a term deposit
Customer service is OK, but they don't go out of their way for you. Term deposits are a good idea but if you have to call on funds for an emergency then look elsewhere because NAB drags it out as long as they can.
You have to push very hard to get 3% or better. I even offered to move my account down the road.
Not the best rates but quite competitive, good service and ease of use
