AMP launches $1 million ‘Tomorrow Fund’ for talented Australians

Do you have big dreams but no money to fund it? AMP's ‘Tomorrow Fund’ program will seek to give away up to $1 million to talented and determined Australians who need a bit of a helping hand, as new research by AMP and Newspoll showed 60% of Australians say money has stopped them pursuing their dream.

AMP media director Julia Quinn said AMP's Tomorrow Fund is open to Australians of all ages from all walks of life who are working towards a goal or dream and need some financial help to get there. "Money shouldn't always be the obstacle for talented people who have a commitment to something that will make a difference in Australia.”

The ‘Tomorrow Fund’ grant sizes will vary from $10,000 up to $100,000 and go towards helping individuals who might be on the cusp of becoming a sports star or a filmmaker with a story to tell. "Perhaps they’re developing a travel app for people with disabilities, have an ingenious invention or want to help seniors stay active," said AMP.

While receiving a fund can make a significant difference to your career and help you reach your goals sooner, there’s no reason to keep your cash under the mattress. Instead head to Mozo’s student savings account section, to find a high interest savings account to help your green grow.

AMP's Tomorrow Fund is an initiative of the AMP Foundation, AMP's charity arm. Applications for AMP's Tomorrow Fund are now open online here until 31 August 2014.
