ING has made it easier for you to donate to charity

ING has launched a new round-up tool enabling customers to donate to charity with their everyday purchases.
The new feature is similar to its everyday savings and home loan round-up, where eligible everyday card transactions will be rounded up to the nearest dollar or five dollars, and then the difference will be donated to a nominated charity.
“With ING’s Everyday Round Up to Charity, even a small donation can have a big impact on one of the many charities a customer can choose to support, with $1 delivering books to remote communities, $3 feeding a brushtail possum in care and $7.50 providing a meal for a woman in a shelter,” says ING’s head of digital, Amy Cunningham.
According to ING research, Aussies still want to give to charities even amidst the cost of living crisis, and by using this feature ING customers can put their loose change to good use.
“This research shows that Aussie’s hearts are in the right place, with many still wanting to give a little to causes they care about, even when times are tight,” says Cunningham.
The new Everyday Round Up to Charity will start rolling out in March, and until June 30 2023, ING will be matching donation round-ups.
