Since 2014, Commander Power & Gas has provided electricity offers to homes and businesses in New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. As a part of the M2 Group of companies, Commander Power & Gas also offers a range of telecommunications products on top of its utility services.
Electricity plans provided by Commander Power & Gas are currently only available to residential and business customers based in New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia.
Electricity plans with Commander Power and Gas differ depending on which state you’re in and exactly where you live. But with contracts that feature no lock-in periods or exit fees, not to mention potential discounts for paying on time, an electricity plan with Commander could give you the flexibility and convenience you need wherever you live.
You can choose to pay for electricity bill in several ways - either over the phone with a credit card, in-person at an Australia Post outlet, or online via BPay.
Commander Power and Gas gives you the option to receive your electricity bill for free via email, or if you prefer a printed version they’ll post it out to your mailbox. If you do want a printed bill you will be charged an extra $2.95 per bill though.
If you change your mind after signing up for a market electricity offer you’ll have 10 days to cancel the contract without incurring fees or charges.
If you find yourself in a tough financial situation whereby you’re unable to pay your electricity bill you may be eligible to come to an arrangement under the Commander Financial Hardship Policy.
To switch your electricity account over to Commander simply make a call to the contact centre or visit the website and fill out an online form. You’ll just need to provide a few simple details including your full address and a form of identification such as a driver's licence. If you already have an electricity account with Commander and are in the process of moving home you can arrange to transfer your connection by calling the contact centre.
