Since launching in Victoria in 2010, Dodo Power and Gas has expanded its energy operations in other states including New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and ACT.
Dodo Power and Gas provides electricity to residential and commercial customers in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia.
Dodo offers a number of different electricity plans as well as dual fuel energy services. The electricity tariff and discount options available vary between each state and territory and will depend on whether you opt for a single electricity service or bundle it with your gas service. If you pay your bill on time via auto payment you may also get a discount. Some Dodo plans also have great money saving offers such as an hour of free electricity every morning 6am to 7am for Victorian residential customers. With a Dodo electricity plan, you’ll have the flexibility to change your electricity plan to suit you in the future with a guaranteed no lock-in contract.
You can contribute towards a sustainable energy future in Australia by opting for Dodo Green Power. With this electricity plan, you can choose Dodo 10% or 100% GreenPower and source (or abate) that amount of your electricity consumption with accredited renewable energy.
If you’re looking for added flexibility in your electricity plan, Dodo’s rates and instalment options are available on a no lock-in contract basis. This makes for an attractive feature for renters and those who might need to move frequently.
As a Dodo Power and Gas customer you can sign up to be a member of the Infinite Rewards program. Member benefits include pre-purchase discounts and vouchers and instant discounts from online retailers which could get up to 75% off brands across thousands of Australian stores. You could also save when you present your Dodo rewards card at the checkout of a participating retailer.
Instead of waiting for a quarterly energy bill, you can pay your Dodo Electricity bill in instalments. You can opt for weekly, fortnightly or monthly payment options. This will be based on the information you provide Dodo including previous energy bills.
You can choose from a range of different payment methods including credit card, debit card, direct debit and BPAY. With Dodo you have the flexibility to update or even change your payment method online or over the phone but you’ll need to notify Dodo at least three business days before your next payment date.
You may be eligible for a concession or rebate if you receive income support from the government and have an eligible concession card such as a Pensioner Concession Card. Be sure to check out what concession and rebates are available in your state as well as what eligibility requirements you’ll need to satisfy.
Switching to Dodo Electricity
With a simple online form or phone application you can switch to Dodo for all your energy needs. You’ll need to provide your full address, contact details and a valid form of identification such as a driver’s license number and you should be able to sign up for a Dodo account. It would also be helpful if you had any previous energy bills handy.
Moving with Dodo Electricity
If you’re an existing customer who is moving home, you can transfer your energy services to your new address over the phone. You will need to call Dodo at least 3 business days before your intended move out date and ensure there is unrestricted access to your meter. Dodo’s customer support is only available during weekdays so be sure to leave plenty of time to notify them of your move. There is also a live chat available should you need further support from a Dodo agent.

Competitive and reliable and will pass on any discounts or government subsidies Easy to read invoice
If I had enough time or energy, I would do more market analysis because I’m not very confident in Dodo. In particular, I don’t think they are reading the correct meter, but as I live in an apartment, even my building manager wasn’t able to confirm whether or not the meter is actually mine! Their website is very lacking and won’t show proper utility usage based on period because that function is broken.
They are a top notch power service that understands their customers needs
Since I joined Dodo I have never had a problem with my electricity since I’ve always had some issue in the past with other providers but with Dodo I’ve just gone onto the Dodo app and in a few taps I’ve checked everything is good and happy as if you are not with Dodo then I suggest you look into it you will find nothing to dislike
The cheap price is the cheapest in the market. And I love the flexibility of how long they will give you to pay a bill without it being restricted
