Want to support the production of electricity from government accredited renewable sources such as solar, wind, hydro and biomass? You can switch to clean energy for your home’s electricity needs by choosing the amount of accredited green energy you want EnergyAustralia to purchase on your behalf. The clean energy purchased does not feed directly into your power supply, but is added to the electricity grid on your behalf.
Perfect for the digital savvy customers, EnergyAustralia lets you create a digital account called My Account, where you can view and manage your electricity plans, track your electricity consumption and pay your bills online.
Whether you like making your electricity payments on the Internet, over the phone, by mail or in person, you’ll have every option to choose from with EnergyAustralia. You can pay your bill online using your credit card, BPAY, direct debit or Centrepay. If you want to make the payment in person, you can go to any Australia Post outlet to pay by cash, cheque or EFTPOS.
Avoid bill shock with EnergyAustralia’s personalised instalment plan. You can choose to spread your electricity bills over regular instalments to make paying your electricity bill more affordable. Simply call an energy consultant to understand the details and activate the option.
If a customer is having trouble paying their electricity bills because of difficult financial circumstances like losing a job or not being in a position to work because of medical reasons, they can look for support with EnergyAustralia’s hardship policy.
New customers will have to provide some information such as your address, contact number and the date you want your connection to begin. You’ll also need to submit an identification document such as a copy of your passport, driver’s licence or Medicare number. Just call the energy executive to make sure that EnergyAustralia provides electricity in your area.
Existing customers can book their move online or call one of EnergyAustralia’s experts and let them know when and where you are planning to move. Generally, three business days will be required to arrange the transfer. Excellent customer service very helpful and understanding. Great prices
Ive been with this company since I arrived here 25yrs ago. They are expensive but so is energy in general. I dont have gas in my area. I get subsidies and a benefit if i pay on time.
Ee are fine and ove had no problems with them ever
On multiple occasions, fortnightly direct debits have been cancelled without notice or reason, resulting in large bills. Each time we've complained about this, there have been no answers to why. Support has been friendly but the lack of understanding as to why the billing errors have occurred is very frustrating as this becomes a very drawn-out process each time to resolve
Its easy to pay the bills through their app. their customer service is average (overseas call centre which makes it hard to get things resolved). I still think we pay too much for a household of 2 but I haven’t been able to compare to other providers. I just assumed that thats the normal rate from all providers cause it’s never changed. They definitely do work in the renewable energy space and they gave us the free option to make our energy usage carbon neutral which is a nice touch.
If you haven’t reviewed your electricity plan in a while, then it’s high time you do it now. Just feed in your details into Mozo’s free energy comparison tool to compare EnergyAustralia with other electricity providers in your area and then decide if it’s time for a change.
