Glow Power is an energy retailer that has just touched down on Aussie shores. Beginning in Ireland, the company has more than 30 years experience within the energy industry.
Glow Power energy plans are currently only available in New South Wales and Queensland. It’s unclear as to whether the retailer plans on expanding to other states at this stage.
If you’re thinking about becoming a Glow Power customer, there are a few things you’ll need to know. Glow Power currently offers two energy plans: its Saver and Standing Offer plan, with both options available on either an anytime or time of use tariff.
The type of plan you choose will determine your usage rate and daily supply charge. For instance, if you were to opt for the Saver plan with the anytime tariff and live with the Ausgrid network, you’ll pay a daily supply charge of 91.58 cents/kWh and a usage rate of 22.83 cents/kWh.
On the other hand, the time of use tariff features a daily supply charge of 120.32 cents/kWh and a usage rate between 14.70 to 36.31 cents/kWh. There’s also a solar feed-in tariff of 7 cents/kWh, which is available with both plans.
The Saver and Standing Offer plans also come with no exit fees or lock-in contracts and you’ll be billed on a monthly basis, which might make it easier to squeeze into your budget. However, if you’re planning on signing up or moving house, there is a $11.96 connection and disconnection fee.
Glow Power is very big on technology but more specifically how they can use technology to enhance customer experience and better invest in the energy market.
One benefit of being a Glow Power customer is that you’ll always be the first to know if new offers or products are released. Aside from that, their friendly customer service team is prepared to assist with any enquiries or issues you may have.
No matter which Glow Power energy plan you sign up for, there are no exit fees or lock-contracts, so there’s no hassle if you decide to opt out of your plan.
As a Glow Power customer, you’ll be able to pay your bills via either direct debit, credit card, or BPay. And don’t forget, Glow Power’s monthly billing cycle might make it easier to work into your budget.
With Glow Power, what you see is what you get. This means that you’ll be signing up with a retailer that’s transparent about their rates, fees and everything in between
If you’re thinking about signing up for a Glow Power energy plan, you’ll be happy to know that switching is a simple process. While the time varies between customers, switching should not take more than 2 weeks.
Once you’ve filled out an application and given permission for Glow Power to make the switch on your behalf, you’ll be able to call back and check in on your progress. And like all other retailers, your power supply will not be disrupted in the process
