Metered Energy Holdings Pty Ltd are an electricity retailer who provide electricity plans to customers who live in or own units, are developers or body corporates. They also use market leading technology to make sure there is little impact on the environment.
Aussies living in either regional or South-East Queensland can become Metered Energy customers. It is unclear as to whether the retailer plans on expanding to other states.
Metered Energy says managing your electricity bill should be simple, which is why they only offer one plan. Just keep in mind though that the plan’s prices depend on where you’re located.
If you live in South-East Queensland, the Residential plan features a daily supply charge of 99.74 cents a day and a 23.93 cents/kWh usage rate. On the other hand, the regional Residential plan has a daily supply charge of 99 cents a day and a usage rate of 24.92 cents/kWh.
The Residential electricity plan also comes with:
- No credit card, paper billing or move in fees
- No exit fees or lock-in contracts and
- A monthly billing cycle.
One final thing to remember about the Metered Energy Residential electricity plan is that the prices are not fixed, so they might fluctuate.

Simple to sign up and good communication.
I am used to being given the run around by providers, but Metered Energy was a breath of fresh air. An extreme effort towards service and a can-do attitude resulted in a quick turnaround at a great price.
Metred Energy are extremely competitive now. Never had an issue with them. Customer service good and Australian based.
This service is as bad as bad can be. The company say that I can't change unless I buy the meter as it's owned by the developer and he owns the meters for all units in this complex, so we have no choice except move out but all the townhouses in the area are owned by him.
