If you are looking for an environment-conscious electricity plan for your home, you can opt for SmilePower with Momentum Energy. which ensures that an equivalent amount of renewable energy matching the electricity that you use at home will be fed into the National Electricity Market. Important features for your electricity account with Momentum Energy

Sustainable energy

With the SmilePower electricity products, Momentum Energy makes sure that an equivalent amount of renewable energy, which matches the energy that you use at your home, will be fed into the National Electricity Market by Hydro Tasmania, or another electricity generator, within the same calendar year that you are billed for your purchase of SmilePower.

Convenient payment options

You can easily choose from a number of options to pay your Momentum Energy electricity bill. You can make a payment using your credit card, set-up a direct debit account, use BPAY or Centrepay. If you prefer the traditional payment methods of mailing a cheque or money order, or going to an Australian Post outlet to pay up in person, you can do that as well.

Online account

You can manage your electricity plan online with Your Toolbox, which is a self-service portal that lets you access information about your energy usage, access past bills, edit your details and register for direct debit using your credit card.


Concession schemes

In case you need support paying your electricity bill, you can look up Momentum Energy’s website to see if you are eligible for any of the concession schemes offered by the state government. If you think you fulfil the terms and criteria for any of the rebates, you can contact Momentum Energy to arrange an application on your account.

Switching and moving your electricity plan with Momentum Energy

You can easily move or switch your electricity account with Momentum Energy if you live in NSW, SA or VIC. If you are an existing customer who is planning to move, you just need to call Momentum Energy to inform them about your new address. They will then organise your account to be disconnected from your current location and connected at your new property. They will however, need three business days to receive your final meter read before they can arrange for this move. So do make sure you give them enough advance notice.

If you plan to switch to Momentum Energy, you can either fill out an online form or call the energy consultants at Momentum to sign up for an electricity or gas plan. You can call the customer care team anytime between 8am and 6pm, from Monday to Friday.

    Visual coloured graphs and easy payment methods

    Momentum Energy had an easy to understand bill that was two pages, showed a graph of previous bills and energy tips to save on money. This visual coloured graph was easy to understand and see trends in energy usage. Also offered warning notices to pay on bills and plenty of time to catch up on late payments.
