Based in North Sydney, Nectr are an energy retailer that’s all for a cleaner future. In fact, they’re a part of Hanwha Energy, a global energy solution provider that specialises in solar power. Nectr want to keep things fair and easy to understand when it comes to your energy bill.
Nectr is only available to residential customers in New South Wales.
At the moment, Nectr offers two residential energy plans: Nectr Friends and Nectr Friends Green.
With their Nectr Friends plan, customers will have their energy rates fixed for 12 months, so they won't have to worry about prices rising. The Nectr Friends Green plan offers the same 12 month fixed rate period, however is a 100% Green energy offset.
Both plans come with no credit card or exit fees, monthly billing and a 10 business day cooling off period.
But best of all, if you sign up to Nectr, the retailer will treat you to a $200 e-gift card, plus a $50 e-gift card on your 12 month anniversary.
Nectr does not offer gas plans for the moment, but the retailer does have plans to launch gas options in mid 2020.
Nectr pride themselves on being solar experts and are more than happy to provide advice on everything from installation to battery storage.
Nectr like to keep things honest, which is why there are no hidden fees or charges once you sign up to a Nectr energy plan.
They’re also not shy when it comes to giving out freebies. Customers who switch over to Nectr will receive a $200 e-gift card, and a $50 e-gift card once you hit your one year anniversary, plus a $25 ‘refer a friend’ voucher if you get a friend or family member to the make the switch!

Nectr are front and centre on the renewable energy front, as their parent company has invested in solar farms in Victoria and Queensland and has plans to build two new farms in New South Wales
If you’d like to join the Nectr community, all you need to do is get in touch with their customer service team who will take care of the rest. Once you’ve given the retailer permission to be moved on from your old retailer they will contact them for you and organise the switch. Then there’s a ten business day cooling off period before you become a Nectr customer!
The Mozo communicty has rated nectr products and services on different specifications ranging from pricing and bill clarity to customer satisfaction and green energy.
