People Energy is a new Australian energy provider operating in Victoria with a focus on customer value. Its goal is to deliver simple, straightforward electricity plans and competitive pricing to People Energy customers.
People Energy provides electricity related products and services for residents as well as businesses in Victoria.
People Energy offers multiple electricity plans with rewards like discounts for those who pay on time and in full or make their bill payments through Direct Debit. In fact, when you sign up for one of People Energy Savers plans, the company also promises that if you are made a better offer by a competitor, they will match or beat it. And if they are not able to do so, they will let you leave without any early termination fee related to your electricity service.
People Energy offers flexible payment options including online payment through your Credit or Debit Card, direct debit or BPAY. You can also use People Energy’s Telephone Payment Service to pay your electricity bill. In case you don’t want to use Internet or phone banking, you can mail a cheque to their address in Melbourne.
For its residential electricity plans, People Energy promises that if you are made a better offer by one of their competitors, they will do everything to match or beat it. If they fail to do so, they will waive off the early termination fee from your plan. To ask for a better plan, you will need to provide written evidence of the competitor’s offer or complete details of where the offer can be found online.
Watch out for the different concessions offered by People Energy. There are a number of schemes such as the Annual Electricity Concession, Controlled Load Electricity Concession or the Life Support concession. Like any other concessions, these are subject to change, so you need to check the eligibility criteria to see who qualifies for these.
If you are an existing customer with People Energy who is moving home, you can arrange for your electricity connection to be moved easily, provided People Energy is available at your new address. You just need to fill out a form on their website and someone from their team will get in touch with you to facilitate the move. You can also call the Customer Care Team three business days before you are planning to shift and request for a move.
Similarly, if you are currently sourcing your electricity from a different provider and want to switch to People Energy for your electricity needs, the process is fairly simple and straightforward. You can simply fill in your details in the online form and someone from the Customer Care team will get back to you.The Mozo community has rated People Energy products and services on different specifications ranging from pricing and bill clarity to customer satisfaction and green energy.

Was offered a great discount of 38% as my account is always in credit. Service and billing has been spot on and would not consider changing at this time. Offer would need to beat what I already receive by quite a lot to change providers
Easy sign up and excellent service.
Thought they were too expensive
We never had any issues with electricity or bills. Everything is good. No hassles.
All power suppliers give a great quote to sign up but then rates quickly change after 1st meeting readings.
