However there is an early termination fee to consider with the fixed plan.
You can add 100% GreenPower to the electricity component of your Red Energy plan in NSW. In doing so, you’ll be contributing a percentage of accredited renewable electricity to the national electricity grid and supporting sustainable energy generation in Australia.
With Red Energy’s Rewards program, you can save on your everyday spending from discounts on dining out and petrol to movie tickets and groceries - over $1500 worth. Simply make the switch to Red Energy on a plan that has a Fixed Benefit Period and you’ll automatically be issued with a Rewards membership card and online account access.
Red Energy allows its customers the flexibility to choose from an extensive range of payment options including direct debit, credit card and BPAY. If you receive Centrelink support payments, you’ll also have the added convenience of using Centrepay. If you prefer an offline payment method, you can mail a cheque to Red Energy or pay in person at your local Australia Post outlet.

You’ll only be able to switch to a Red Energy gas plan if you also switch across your electricity service as gas is only available as part of a dual fuel package. But switching can be easily done online or over the phone. You will be required to provide your personal details, address and some form of identification so have your driver’s license or passport handy.
If you are moving house you can easily connect your gas, electricity as well as other utility services like water and pay TV all in one go using Red Energy’s free Red2Move service. Simply enter your postcode, pick the service providers you want and fill in your details. You will receive a call back from the service providers, including Red Energy, to confirm your connection.
Keep in mind, Red Energy requires at least three business days notice before your expected moving date to connect your new gas and electricity service, and other utility providers may have similar requirements (i.e. water, telecommunications). You will not be charged to use the Red2Move service but there may be connection fees from the providers you have selected.
