Bupa should not be permitted to operate… Bupa should not be permitted to operate wit( the appalling customer service. I was on hold for 2 hours a few weeks ago, then out through to 4 different people who told me different info…and now I find out none of it is true. I was then on a call for 2 hours again and hung up. I tried the nex5 day as I needed an urgent answer abd was in the call for 90 mins and shuffled around again. And it’s all fora simple question. I put a complaint in and they refuse to contact me. I then have to chase them and it’s pointless, draining and stressful.. I pay them $520 a month to be treated with with disrespect and negligence. They offer great incentives to join and to stay with them. Once they have you joined and paying, they forget about the service. They train their staff to say all the right words with being sorry for the inconvenience etc and then fob you off to another department. Thry will immediately answer the phones for new sales or for people wanting to cancel, but oddly enough take hours for the other areas. I can only imagine what a nightmare they could make a claim process be. All cleverly designed. How odd that a so called health insurance company causes stress, anxiety and discomfort for its customers. They are indeed self centred. Looking forward to choosing another company this week. Date of experience: 26 May 2023
I needed house and landlord insurance on my investment property and got some pretty hefty quotes when I called around. I was pleasantly surprised when I spoke to Bupa, it was a good policy with everything I needed at a fair price and I didn't have to wait for hours to speak with someone.
We combined all our insurances together with a ups as their premiums were the most competitive. Their custom service has been great and we feel safe with them.
I tried to select health insurance but couldn't. I would give this a zero if I could. I have been paying $125 a month for 6 yrs and recently got braces which I was Originally told was covered when I signed up in 2015. On the site it also says I am covered for orthodontics including braces, however, apparently after sending in all the receipts I'm only covered for braces if I have an accident. So unethical. Please do not go with bupa. I am paying 10k out of pocket for braces, Bupa is not even giving me back $1 of my own money!
Pros: - decent discount because health insurance combined - no problems yet - fortnightly payments Cons: - not renowned - expensive
They are reasonably priced.
Bupa is a large company and has an excellent marketing campaign. For me it’s too expensive and I’m covered for things I don’t need. If it were tailored to my needs, my family, my home, I’d be happier and have more money for my budget left over.
Double the cost of other insurers and forced me to a phone call for 30 minutes to get to a quote, despite the (friendly) representative walking me through the same questions as the online form.
I found Bupa to be really good.
I really wish I didn't choose bupa but I doI think it's time to change.
Accessible, good customer service and pays claims without a lot of unnecessary fuss.
I like it
Very friendly staff and very easy process for sorting out each item in your contents, and clear, easy to follow claim process.
They're pretty good. Have no complaints.
I love bupa.
