ANZ Plus is a new everyday account with its own exclusive app and features. It has no account or domestic ATM fees and unlimited free transactions at major Australian bank ATMs, which is always a plus.
The ANZ Plus everyday account comes with a great mobile app that easily tracks your money moves. It gives you insights into your monthly spending, how much money comes in and out, and any upcoming bills. It also categorises your spending to give you a clearer picture of where your money goes.
There is no minimum balance requirement to open an ANZ Plus account, which can be linked to a BPAY account.
On top of that, the account has no network ATM or monthly fees.
Be aware that if you open an ANZ Plus account, you will also get a multi-goal ANZ Save account. The two come as a combined set and you can't get one without the other.
While the ANZ Plus transaction account is an online-only product, you'll still be able to message in-app coaches with any queries you have, or if you need assistance, any time between Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm AEST (excluding National Public Holidays). You can even book an in-person session with a coach that can help teach you how to use the ANZ Plus app and give you a run down on how to spend less and save more.
Anyone looking for an everyday account that offers digital first access from the big four banks with a modern and sleek banking app might consider ANZ Plus. Plus, it comes with an savings account so you can have all your finances in one place.
To be eligible to sign up, you must be aged 15 or older and have a valid Australian residential address and valid ID (Australian passport, Australian Drivers licence or International passport).
ANZ Plus isn’t super overseas friendly. If you want to travel with your card expect to pay a $5 fee for overseas ATMs and a 3% foreign exchange commission.

The move to pushing people away from person-to-person customer service damages my sense of loyalty. I value relationships in business, as a business owner and as a consumer. I would have liked to think that I could build the relationship over the years of being loyal to the bank. To me this would mean knowing my personal banker (impossible, I don’t get to have one)… knowing the team at the local bank (the bank don’t want me to visit, they make it clear that they are disgusted by people going into branches, and treat people as a major inconvenience if you dare to physically present yourself and ask to deal with a person rather than a machine). This means I have no loyalty to my bank, and would move anytime.
