I got this ME Credit card soon after my heart operation. I never expected to get a limit of $9400, however I used it to go on my life long dream to USA for the first time in 55 years of life, I am thankful for that for ME Bank and the best news is I am still on 9,99% into charge. Now I do have transferred my super to Hostplus who is part of ME Bank.
I dislike the interest rates, although they are very competitive they could certainly be reduced further. The app does not have all the options to do internet banking - not easy to navigate. I think that the website is a lot worse than the app. However overall - I am very satisfied with the customer service of ME bank and have found their rates to be very competitive.
Something dodgy going on here. I have a great credit history, plenty of cashflow, very small mortgage and was flat out declined. They refused to explain. Was just trying to avoid annual fees for a low spend credit card used for internet shopping. I suspect they are not interested in anyone who will pay off their balance each month. I'll stick with the big banks thanks and pay a small fee.
Applied for a ME Bank credit card via an email from my super Fund CBUS. I own 2 properties worth well over 1 million $ in value, have been full time employed for the past 30 years with no debts to my name at all with a very steady income of around $90,000 per year. They have rejected my application. My current credit card is with one of the big 4 banks has a balance of $0 which when I do use it is paid off by direct debit so I never incur any interest costs. Trying to avoid the yearly fee I currently incur with my current Credit card I liked the sound of a no annual fee credit card, tried to call to discuss WHY and they would not discuss. Do they only want vulnerable people with large mortgages and poor credit history on their books?
