Set in a North Carolina town, this teen action-mystery drama centres around kids from wealthy families known as “Kooks” (while the less well-off are known as “Pogues”). In the earlier seasons, the plot follows a group of friends (Pogues) trying to find out what happened to John B’s father who went missing. The most recent seasons see John B (Pogue) and Sarah Cameron (Kook) falling in love and this creates a big divide between the two opposing sides. Season 3 of Outer Banks has just been released to Netflix.

Based on Taylor Jenkins Reid’s best selling novel of the same name, the story of Daisy Jones & The Six has finally been brought to life on the screen. Season 1 of Daisy Jones & The Six stars actors Sam Claflin and Riley Keough and tells the story of fictional rock band Daisy Jones & The Six who rose to fame in the 1970s. The series is exclusive to Amazon Prime Video and new episodes are being released every Friday.

The White Lotus - Binge

The White Lotus offers some truly exotic locations, with the first season set in Hawaii and the second in Sicily. A comedic drama, it follows a week in the life of the guests staying at the fictional White Lotus resort as their seemingly relaxing holidays are interrupted by secrets and unexpected twists. The second season notably features well known actors such as Tom Hollander, Theo James and Jennifer Coolidge. And season 3 has been confirmed, so get up to date before a new season begins!

This western drama starring Kevin Costner, follows a family living on a large ranch in Montana, USA. The property is bordered by people constantly trying to take it over,  including land developers and an Indian reservation. It hasn’t yet been confirmed whether the series will be renewed but either way, it’s definitely worth a watch if you want to immerse yourself in American country life. This is a dramatic series about a married nurse during World War 2 who is transported back in time to Scotland in 1743 where she falls in love with a warrior. The first season of Outlander was released in 2014 and there are now 6 seasons, with season 7 set to debut later this year.

Season 2 of the popular series Ginny & Georgia came to Netflix earlier this year and follows the complicated relationship between single mother Georgia and daughter Ginny after they move to a small town.
