Launched in Victoria in December 2012, Dodo Gas has since expanded its operations to service residential customers and businesses in parts of New South Wales.
Dodo Gas is currently available in Victoria and parts of New South Wales. If you’re looking for a new gas plan or dual fuel plan and live in one of these states, you may want to consider Dodo.
Dodo gives you the option to choose an individual gas plan or a dual energy service. The tariff and discount options you’ll receive will depend on which state you live in and whether you pay your bill on time via an eligible payment method. You’ll also have the flexibility to alter your gas plan in the future because Dodo’s plans are available on a no lock in contract basis.
When you open a Dodo Power and Gas account, you can also sign up to be a member of the Infinite Rewards program which gives you access to heaps of discounts (up to 75% off) from Australian retailers. As a member you’ll receive plenty of benefits including pre-purchase vouchers, instant discounts from online retailers and savings at the checkout when you present your Dodo rewards card at a participating retailer.
Dodo’s gas plans are available on a no lock-in contract basis. This will give you the added benefit of being able to alter your gas plan whenever required without worrying about exit fees.
Dodo offers a range of payment options including credit card, debit card, direct debit and BPAY. You’ll also have the flexibility to update or even change your payment method by logging into your account online or over the phone but you’ll need to notify Dodo at least three business days before your next payment is due.
If you hate having to pay a large lump sum bill on a quarterly basis, Dodo bills in instalments. Using your previous gas bills and other information that you provide about your energy consumption, Dodo will calculate the estimated cost of your bill and arrange for your payment to be made in instalments. You have the flexibility to choose between weekly, fortnightly or monthly instalment options.
You may be eligible for a concession or rebate on your energy bill if you receive regular income support payments from the government and have an eligible concession card such as Pensioner Concession Card or a Health Care Card.
