Founded in 2015, Mojo is a power retailer that takes pride in their honest approach towards providing an energy service with a pricing structure that’s not dependent on you using more electricity. Curious how that works? Read on to find out.
Mojo Power provides electricity to residents in New South Wales and Queensland. If your house is located in NSW, you may be eligible to apply for an electricity plan with Mojo.
Instead of the usual pay on time and direct debit discounts, Mojo takes on a different approach to pricing with its EnergyPass. This is a flat subscription that gives you access to wholesale electricity rates. You can choose from three subscriptions depending on your usage preferences - Standard, Plus+ and Premium, and you can choose to pay for this annually or monthly.
With all of these passes, you get a smart meter installed to your property for no extra charge. While a Standard EnergyPass lets you view your energy consumption data on the smart meter from up to 48 hours ago, the other two give you access to live usage information.
With the monthly or annual EnergyPass, Mojo customers get access to wholesale electricity rates.
Manage your electricity account online through MyMojo, which gives you access to information on your usage as well as the ability to update your personal details. All bills and other communication is shared electronically.
If you sign up for an electricity account with Mojo, they’ll upgrade your existing meter to the latest smart meter technology - which means no more ‘estimated’ readings and you can measure your energy consumption yourself in more detail.
Any questions about your electricity account? No worries! Just go on the Internet any time of the day and reach out to Mojo’s friendly online community for getting all your queries answered.
Your electricity bill with Mojo will be direct debited or credited from your nominated bank account or credit card three business days after the bill has been generated. You can choose to pay with Visa, Mastercard or American Express, although there is a 2.35% surcharge for Amex.
Switching and moving your electricity account with Mojo Power is simple - all you need to do is go online and enter your post code to figure out how much you can save by transferring your account and then pick an EnergyPass that suits your household’s energy requirements. Mojo will then take care of the rest and inform your existing provider of the switch. You’ll get a confirmation email once the transfer is complete. If you’re moving home, make sure you give at least three business days notice before you need power connected to your new home.
In case you sign up for an account and then change your mind, you’ll have a cooling off period of 10 business days starting the day you signed up. You can cancel your account through MyMojo, via email or by returning the Cancellation Form available online.

How are Mojo Power rated by the Mozo community?
I received the best rate from this provider. I have only just transferred so I cannot comment on customer service as I applied online.
Mojo Power deliver everything they say. Basically a cost co for electricity. A bulk buy no frills service that keeps the prices as low as possible. They also bill monthly so there is no massive quarterly bill shock.
They promised a free Net meter and did not follow through on their promise
