You have probably already heard of Petbarn, the one stop shop for pet supplies, but you might not have known that they also offer pet insurance.
The company was started in the 1970s and is now a part of Greencross Limited which is the largest integrated consumer facing pet care company in Australasia.
Petbarn offers three different pet insurance policies.
Core Cover and Core Plus Cover cover dogs between the ages of 8 weeks to 9 years, while the Total Cover policy only insures dogs from 8 weeks to 7 years old.
There are different inclusions depending on which of the three policies you choose, including whether your policy covers dental conditions as well as additional benefits.

Most pet insurance policies have exclusions, including coverage for pre-existing conditions. To find out the specifics of each policy, make sure you read the PDS.
You can make a Gap Only claim directly through your clinic or you can make an online claim or a paper claim. There is also no time limit to submitting a claim so there is no need to rush.
Yes, you can cancel your policy at any time, either by phone or email.
If you pay annually, you will be issued with a pro-rata refund for the uninsured period, if you pay by instalments, you will not be charged any further premiums after the day of cancellation.
