    Great energy provider

    We love our energy provider. We have received quite a few price drops to our electricity rates over the past few years and are very happy with how cheap it is. Service is wonderful. I would highly recommend.

    Good partner program

    AGL has good energy saving periods where you can earn money off your account by limiting the amount of energy you use during peak periods that they let you know about. More of these would be helpful. They have a good partner program with discounts from various companies. Also they keep you informed about any offers. The only downside is that (like many other providers) have reduced the solar rebate quite a lot and there tariffs have risen. Overall very satisfied and would recommend.

    Should Be Free

    The cost of energy is outrageous regardless the provider. It was all free once and still should be today. Evidence of the free energy transmitters can be found everywhere once you know what you are looking at. It’s just as well we have been getting dividends and Gov assistance as it will pacify the masses for a short while

    Unfortunately the best energy company out there

    theyre hard to deal with in a lot of ways, like it can be difficult to resolve issues with them because they often outsource a lot of their services to other companies that it makes so hard to fix anything. but they do have good policies and help available for financial aid.

    A company for Australians from Australians

    I hadn't heard of Energy Locals before but ever since I switched to them once they said they would provide the cheapest electricity available I have had a pleasant experience. They are Australian locals and ran by Australians. When you talk to someone it's not from overseas or a call centre. They are very understanding, they are supportive and kind when you interact with them. They offer really good payment plans if you are struggling to pay the bills. They are really personal and just caring. Even via email they are supportive and helpful. I have been with Energy Locals for about six months now and I have no complaints what so ever. I think they are a great company to sign up with if you have a low income or on government benefits as they really take into consideration of the cost of living and that not everyone can afford to pay their bills outright.

    I love that I am able to read my energy bill easily. I am offered different options on the best product for my usage. I absolutely rely on Energy Australia and find them trustworthy as an energy provider.

    Average customer service

    Good service, definitely a higher end retailer, but they have local customer service teams and are always willing to help. I see a lot of complaining about bills and connections... These are always difficult times. They were very fast changing my account to accomodate my solar system and called me without prompting to change me to the best deal available. They are a bit pricey (4 stars) but you get what you pay for.

    Unwilling to rectify their mistake

    We’ve had issues with Energy Australia, they’ve mishandled our installation and have been overcharging us for an entire year on a business plan and when we adjusted the NMI to be a residential one, they refused to refund our money even though it was not our fault that they’d mistaken our home to be a business.
