What's not
  • High 21.74% cash advance rate
  • 2% balance transfer fee
Mozo snapshot

NAB's Low Fee Card is great for everyday use. No frills, low fees and top security combine to create a safe, accessible and easy to use card. The card has a low $30 annual fee, plus you'll enjoy a 0% p.a. on balance transfers for 6 month period (with a one-off 2% balance transfer fee).

Key features

Low Fee Card customers have access to contactless purchasing, emergency travel assistance, and secure online shopping, as well as the exclusive Visa Entertainment program.

A super-low annual fee of $30 is a big plus, but steer clear of cash advances with this card - the rate is a steep 21.74%. And if you're taking the Low Fee Card travelling, the news is good - the foreign exchange margins sits at 3.00%.

If you have existing debt on another card, the NAB Low Fee Card offers a 0% rate on balance transfers for 6 months (2% balance transfer fee applies). However, like a lot of other cards, after the balance transfer period is up the rate reverts to the cash advance rate, as opposed to the lower purchase rate.

snapshot
Who is it good for

The NAB Low Fee Card is perfect for anyone looking for a low fee credit card with a generous interest free period that is simple, easy and fuss-free.

Any catches

Late payments will cost you $15 each time - don't make it a regular thing!

    Good service but low rates.

The NAB has always had very good customer service. Would be nice if they were offering better interest rates.

They don't get card security or customer service.

The credit card should be able to be accessed by both cardholders so that both can pay the credit card off when they use it. However, the only person that can see the credit card balance because he is the primary owner is my husband (who is away all the time with work). I use the credit card all the time and I pay most of the credit card bills, yet the only way I can see the balance is to log into my husband's online banking so that I can pay the bill. We, my husband and I, have approached NAB many times about this, yet they to date have done nothing. How silly is this, when we both have internet banking accounts and I pay most of the bills for the household. So I have to go into my internet banking to pay all the money transfer bills and then I have to go into my husband's account to just pay the credit card bill, even though my credit card is the same account with a different number than my husband's, yet I cannot see it on my internet banking. Not to mention the terrible interest rate too.

    No frills, value card.

I have been using this product for quite some years. It's uncomplicated and works so I've got no reason to change.

Easy to understand and good customer service

This credit card was very easy to apply for, even when I needed it quickly. Customer service was friendly and made the process easy to understand. Pick-up was also easy and convenient.

About NAB

National Australia Bank is one of the big four banks who provide a large variety of financial products to the Australian Community. In recent times NAB has set itself apart from the other big four banks; by expanding their ATM network, removing many fees and maintaining low standard variable home loan rates. NAB's changes to its financial products have made their home loan, credit card, loans, savings accounts and personal loans more competitive within the banking industry.
