Their home loan product is fine and it was the lack of service and reliability of the loans staff that prompted the bad review. Phone calls were not returned and inaccurate information given to us and passed on to other staff in relation to our application. The home loan was not actually taken with the Orange Credit Union. In fairness to OCU, we do personally know of other customers who have been very happy with the service regarding home loans, and this may have been a one-off situation with one particular staff member. We do have a general account with them and have always found previously that the staff there have been very friendly and professional.
