The Basic Variable Home Loan from Great Southern Bank is available for owner occupiers and investors looking to either take out a new loan or refinance their existing one. 6.14% p.a. (6.20% p.a. comparison rate*) at 70% LVR for owner occupiers making principal and interest repayments.
There are no ongoing fees, but there are a few upfront costs including a $600 application fee and a $235 settlement fee. A $500 discharge fee will also apply once you end your loan. You could have the establishment/application fee waived though by applying online to buy an existing property or to refinance between 31/8/2023 and 29/2/2024 and settling before 31 May 2024 (minimum loan amount of $100,000).

Applied for an add on loan, a very simple request and one that should take no time at all. After 8 weeks no decision made despite numerous calls and complaints It appears the branch manager at Castle Hill failed to submit my documents. My personal information is somewhere but no one knows where. I have been told it has escalated to management and still nothing. No one gets back to you when promised. A lot of arse covering from management and meanwhile we need funds for urgent repairs. I have been with CUA for 8 years and this is the worst I’ve seen with any bank. Time to introduce the media to their unethical management of personal and private information.
