Aussie apartments vs. houses in 2021

It’s no secret that the Aussie property market has been booming this year. Over the past 12 months, dwelling prices (both houses and units) went up by a whopping 22%, bringing the median Aussie home price up by an additional $126,700.

“Dwelling prices combine both houses and units, and while units certainly haven’t underperformed, they have been overshadowed by the meteoric rise in house prices,” said Mozo Money Writer Niko Iliakis.

New research from property research firm CoreLogic has revealed that the median capital city house price now sits 37.9% higher than the median capital city unit price.
