A Website that’s a Treasure Trove of Information: The online platform of BOQ is another highlight. It's user-friendly and packed with useful information. As someone who’s constantly on the go, being able to access my account details, understand my saving options, and get financial tips easily is a game-changer. An Account Tailored for Future Planners: The Everyday Plus Account is a perfect fit for young individuals like me. It makes saving straightforward and hassle-free. I found initionally the bank had opened the wrong account and were charging me fee's. I approached them and they quickly rectified the problem and refunded half of the fees as I am on a pension. I have had problems with other banks auto teller's not giving over the money, so I spoke to my branch. They didn't hesitate to advance the money I was short changed till the matter was resolved. I have often recommended them to everyone who complaines about their bank. I have been with lots of other banks but the BOQ is the best I have found.
This used to be a great bank. The last six months or so they have been a nightmare due to their call centre! Wait times of over an hour to speak with customer consultants. No call back option. Mind numbingly repetative music, of the type they piped into prisoners cells during the war to soften them up prior to torturing them for information. A message regarding unusually high call volumes that they have played for months. This being an insult to customers intelligence. If its been going that long it is usual, not unusual!!! They have received complaints but the unacceptable situation remains. What kind of management needs a year to correct a situation as simple as this? In all fairness, once you eventually get through to a consultant the sevice is excellent and I genuinely pity their consultants who now have to deal with customers who are irate through the frustration of having to hang on the phone for over an hour before they can speak to anyone.
We love BOQ banking because the service is outstanding. We deal direct with the bank manager not just someone over the phone. The girls are always friendly and helpful. All pros, no cons. BOQ are the best.
BOQ don't charge fees on your everyday bank card. Fast and efficient service. I've been with this bank for over 20 years with no complaints.
Pros - exemplary service. Any issues or questions and they respond rapidly. If you call up, you are answered immediately, and no annoying robotic phone questions either. They can also do both home and business loans/accounts. Cons - not necessarily the best rates or fees. You get great service but you must pay for it.
Best service for any bank or credit union I have been associated with.
Love this bank because the staff always remember who you are. The only downside is that many branches have closed on the Gold Coast.
I use BOQ and they look after my money I made from working.
Overall very happy with my bank. Only thing I am not happy with is that they charge $15.00 if you don't have enough money in your account for a direct debit but still don't honour the direct debit. I think if they are going to charge $15.00, they should honour the direct debit.
They have always gone above and beyond when helping me.
