On the hunt for a budget-friendly credit card? The People’s Choice Visa Credit Card may be just what you’re after. The card comes with a very low 2.99% p.a. introductory purchase rate (15.75% p.a. afterwards) and up to 62 interest free days on purchases. And with a $0 late payment fee, you won’t ever have to worry about missing the occasional monthly repayment.

Key features

The People’s Choice Visa Credit Card could be a great option for spenders who want the convenience of the plastic without the high price tag. The card has a very low purchase rate of 2.99% p.a. for the first 6 months and gives you up to 62 interest free days on purchases before you have to pay any interest.

But keep in mind the purchase rate soars to 15.75% p.a. after the initial 6 months and the cash advance rate is also higher at 15.75% p.a. - although this is still relatively low as far as credit card goes. You'll also need to budget for a $59 annual fee, which is waived if you have an active People’s Choice Home Loan Package, or use its One to One or Financial Planning services.

What’s more, the People’s Choice Visa Credit Card offers the benefit of no late payment fee, which means you can have peace of mind that you won’t be hit with massive fees if you miss a monthly payment or two.

With a low introductory balance transfer rate of 2.99% p.a., the People’s Choice Visa Credit Card can temporarily accommodate those hoping to pay off credit card debt. But be wary that after six months, any balance leftover will start to attract interest at the regular 15.75% p.a. and could leave a huge hole in your pocket. So if you’re keen to pay off a big balance, a balance transfer card with a lengthy 0% interest free period might be a better bet.

Who is it good for

The People’s Choice Visa Credit Card could be a great option for spenders looking for a credit card that won’t cost them an arm and a leg. Having 62 interest free days on purchases instead of the typical 44 or 55 days also means this one’s a good pick if you think you might need a little extra time to clear your bill each month.
