Let’s dive in by looking at the Own Home Loan interest rates. Owner occupiers making principal and interest repayments on their loan will be able to access rates from as low as 2.74% (3.02% comparison rate*), while investors will be able to grab a rate from 3.19% (3.46% comparison rate). 

86 400 has also included a bunch of handy loan features to help their borrowers stay on top of repayments. First of all, borrowers can use one or multiple 86 400 Pay and Save Accounts as offset accounts to reduce the size of the loan they’re making repayments on. 

Borrowers can even make unlimited extra repayments towards their loan (for free) if they’re trying to pay it off early, and dip back into those additional repayments (if necessary) with the free redraw facility. 

When it comes to repayment frequency, 86 400 give customers the flexibility to make their repayments on a schedule that suits them: either weekly, fortnightly or on a monthly basis. 

Okay, so how about fees? There are a couple you’ll need to budget for, including a $250 loan advance fee and $250 annual fee. While 86 400 won’t charge a valuation fee for your property if the valuation comes to under $300, if it’s over that they’ll only cover the first $300.

At the present time the 86 400 Own Home Loan is only available through brokers and not straight through the 86 400 app. That means if you’re interested you’ll need to head to the 86 400 website where they can match you up with a broker. 

However, as you’d expect of a digital bank like 86 400, they’ve made applications and approvals as simple as possible by digitising the entire process. That means that you’ll be able to verify your ID, send through documents and provide your signature all online. Plus, 86 400 claim the whole process can be up to six times faster than that of the big banks.
