Transfer speed: Transfer speed varies depending on the currencies, bank accounts and payment type you’re dealing with but you can usually expect the payment to be completed 1-4 days after it’s originally sent. 

Transfer limits: XE has no minimum transfer limit and no maximum transfer limit when paying via phone, however there is a $500,000 USD (or currency equivalent) limit for online transfers per transaction.

Fee free: When you exchange currency with XE you’ll be glad to know there’s no extra fees. However fees may be applied by banks receiving or sending the money, so check with your bank before making a transfer to be sure.

How to transfer money with XE

XE has a simple online account set up which varies slightly depending on whether you are signing up for a personal or business account. When creating an account you’ll need to provide personal and identifying information, as well as some info about what sort of transfers you want to do. The XE IMT process goes something like this:

  1. Log into your XE account
  2. Confirm the currencies you want to exchange
  3. Put in the amount of money you want to exchange
  4. Enter the details of where the money is going
  5. Confirm how you will be paying
  6. Accept the exchange rate and total cost
  7. Wait 1-4 days for the beneficiary bank to confirm the payment
