Key features

SocietyOne’s Secured Personal Loan is available for personal loans from $5,000-$70,000 over terms from 2 to 7 years.

This online-only lender offers the flexibility to make repayments fortnightly or monthly, as well as the ability to make free extra repayments, so you can pay your loan off as quickly as you’d like with no hefty additional charge. However, it’s important to keep in mind that you won’t be able to dip- back into those extra funds, as there’s no redraw facility.

With this SocietyOne loan, if you are taking out a loan over 2, 3, 5 or 7 years, rates start from a low 4.95% p.a. (5.78% p.a. comparison rate*).

SocietyOne offers personalised rates that reward customers with a good credit history. So depending on the customer, interest rates can range from the lowest rate of 4.95% p.a. up to 19.99% p.a. (5.78% p.a. to 20.93% p.a. comparison rates*).

While there is an establishment fee between $0 and $595, depending on your credit score, you won't need to pay this upfront. It's completely waived for customers in the top tier of SocietyOne's "Excellent" credit rating. The fee is added to your principal amount, so you pay it as part of your monthly repayments. Keep in mind, if you get behind on repayments, you'll be charged an additional $35 late payment fee.
