Our verdict

As a newcomer to our Mozo Experts Choice Awards for Excellent Value, Australia Post is really upping its game. And it's not just about affordability; there are standout features too. Take their three-year new-for-old replacement policy—that's a full year longer than some competitors offer. Plus, no excess for windscreen repairs comes standard, though opting for excess-free windscreen replacement will cost you extra.

However, there are a few caveats to watch out for. The unlisted young driver excess can be steep, but you can reduce this to more standard levels by simply listing your young drivers. Also, while paying your premium monthly does cost more, this is pretty standard across the industry and can be easily avoided by opting for an annual payment if your budget allows.

Overall, we're seeing great value from a trusted Australian institution, so what's not to love? Australia Post’s comprehensive car insurance easily makes a good addition to your consideration set.
