Bank of Queensland’s comprehensive car insurance is designed to put your mind at ease. It has extensive coverage for your wheels and bits and bobs inside your car with generous specified limits. You’ll also be set up for a seamless 24/7 claim process and post-accident support with things like towing, travel and accommodation costs included in this policy. Plus, there are great discounts that’ll cut down your premium to help make this policy fit your budget.
Let’s start with that impressive 65% no claims bonus. You can slash car insurance costs by proving you’ve held a policy for four years or more without making a claim. This comes with an extra gravy dollop in the form of glass repairs or any not-at-fault incidents not impacting your discount. On top of this, you may be eligible for a loyalty discount of 5% depending on how long you stick with BOQ car insurance.
Now for what’s covered. As you’d expect, standard accidental damage to your car and other people’s property and vehicles is included, as well as damages caused by theft, fire and lightning.
Up to $750 of your own property in the car and $500 for baby seats or capsules is also included, and you’ll be sorted for reasonable towing costs, essential repairs to get you back on the road and emergency accommodation and travel costs (up to $500). BOQ will also fit you out with a hire car after a theft or not-at-fault accident (up to $1,500 or 14 days).
If you enjoy payment flexibility, you’ll be pleased to know monthly premium payments are available at no extra cost. However, if you use your car as a driver in a rideshare service like Uber or Car Next Door your cover will be voided.
Anyone who prizes their ride but also has a clean driving history so they can take advantage of BOQ’s generous no claims bonus.
Don’t forget you’re not covered as a rideshare driver under this policy. Also keep an eye out for young, inexperienced and undisclosed driver excesses (plus combinations of each). Depending on which state you live in, these additional excesses can range from $300 to $1,500.
